After Wednesday night's tremors caused buildings and people to shake, memes quickly took over Twitter. After a 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit the Himalayan region near Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand along the Nepal border, worried internet users found humour on Twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, and other platforms.
Delhi NCR earthquake:
People were startled out of their sleep by the tremors that were felt in Lucknow, Noida, Ghaziabad, and other places. After many people checked their Twitter accounts to confirm if there had been an earthquake, jokes and memes flooded the social networking site. Many used Bollywood songs and visuals as inspiration to describe their experiences.
Shah Rukh Khan's picture from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was uploaded by one person, a clip from the Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Sunil Shetty movie Hera Pheri was shared by another, and a meme from the Gangs of Wasseypur movie was shared by a third user.

Earthquake that struck Nepal
NEW DELHI: A 6.3-magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal early on Wednesday claimed the lives of at least six people. According to reports from news agency ANI citing officials, they perished when a house in the Doti district fell.
